MATERIAL CLASSIFICATION
Atlas Foundry uses a proprietary grading system - the Atlas Grade - to classify every chain by its underlying material and surface finish. Grades reflect construction quality - not style or price.

MATERIAL NOTES
Sterling Silver
A precious metal alloy composed of 92.5% silver. Designed to last a lifetime and develop character with wear.
Gold Vermeil
A recognised jewellery standard requiring 925 sterling silver with a minimum 2.5 micron layer of real gold.
PVD Coating
A vacuum-bonded finish renowned for exceptional resistance to wear, scratching and tarnishing.
Electroplating
A layer of real gold deposited onto the base metal. Greater thickness generally results in improved longevity.
